Unit Description

The Emergency Department at Elizabethtown Community Hospital is a 24/7 rural ED that provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages. The team of experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses delivers comprehensive emergency care, supported by on-site imaging and laboratory services. Team members in this department enjoy the opportunity to work across a broad range of clinical situations while serving a tight-knit and appreciative community.

Must be able to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or have current CEN certificate.

Past Emergency Department experience preferred.

Candidates should be highly motivated and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, staff, and leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities at once, and is flexible with scheduling based on department needs. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with other healthcare professionals are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of New York required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
