Skills could include ventilator monitoring and care, tracheostomy care, use and care of feeding tubes, and other technical procedures; administration of medications, assisting with general exercise and specific physical therapy regimens; family teaching and support, exercise and physical therapy needs, medical procedures they can do at home, and methods of carrying out daily living activities. Experience with these skills is preferred, but not required.
There is often a need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Although you are in the field 1x1 with your patient your team and manager are a phone call away, you are an integral part of an autonomous, high functioning, collaborative team where our nurses thrive. We have a thorough preceptorship and training process so our nurses feel confident and supported with ongoing learning and development sessions and support.
Qualifications:
- Current RN License in the state of VT, or capability to obtain VT RN license
- Minimum two or more years of directly related home/public health, hospice and/or high tech nursing experience
On-call: Not Required
