Unit Description: The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology provides chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illness. Key aspects of this direct-care role include insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters; establishing access via utilizing implanted devices; administration of systemic chemotherapy and biotherapies; supporting the infusion patient who is participating in clinical trials; and comprehensive patient assessment and education.
EXPERIENCE: Preferred not required- clinical proficiency with central line accessing and de-accessing, PICC line care, dressing change and removal, and peripheral intravenous insertion and care. The Adult Infusion team is looking for a new team member, someone who enjoys team nursing while also embracing autonomy and critical thinking in a fast faced ambulatory practice environment. Ambulatory infusion experience and infusion nursing certification, a plus!
On-call: Not required
Incentives: This is predominantly weekend position. Great hours with a great team! Weekend shift differential included in pay - $3.50/hour.
