Our expanding team of talented, and dedicated providers is in search of an outpatient pelvic floor physical therapist. We provide a positive, encouraging work environment with excellent clinical staff retention that maintains close collaboration with the Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery department. Our pelvic health physical therapists provide expert care for men and women for pre-, post-, and non-surgical pelvic pain; urinary/fecal incontinence; pelvic organ prolapse management and prevention; trauma; constipation; sexual dysfunction; and pregnancy, post-partum, and cancer related concerns. Mentorship and support toward professional development are available. Responsibilities for the physical therapist include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate patients and form treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations
  • Skillfully apply therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs
  • Develop trusted relationships with referring providers, contributing to marketing and community outreach efforts
  • Help ensure well-run clinical operations by completing necessary documentation and billing in a quality manner
  • Manage caseload effectively
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to accommodate and facilitate proficient patient care, including a willingness to provide care at more than one rehab therapy site as needed
  • Stay current with trends and practices in therapeutic evaluation and treatment, supporting evidence-based practice
  • Participate in clinical staff education, meetings and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Supervise physical therapy students to develop their clinical skills and ensure the delivery of quality patient care
  • Comply with all pertinent rules and regulations within the State Practice Act and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) from an Accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Vermont

EXPERIENCE:

  • Optimal candidate maintains:
    • Board Certified Woman’s Health Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy
    • Certification of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
    • Certification of Achievement in Obstetric Health Physical Therapy

OR

  • Willingness to be mentored and work toward certification
  • 3-5 years of experience in women’s and/or pelvic health ideal
  • New graduates with pelvic health experience and interest will also be considered
