CNA Re-Certification Opportunity (NY CNAs)

This free refresher opportunity is for individuals with an expired New York State CNA certification.

About the Session

Eligibility: You must have held a New York State CNA certification that has lapsed. Individuals who were never certified as a CNA in New York are not eligible.

Duration: Estimating approximately (2) 8-hour sessions

Cost: No charge for the refresher course. Candidates are responsible to cover their own $125 payment to NYS the recertification testing fee.

• Lecture Review: Brush up on essential nursing concepts.

• Clinical Skills Refresher: Reacquaint yourself with hands-on skills.

• CPR Training: Ensure lifesaving proficiency.

How to Enroll

To participate, complete the application (online or printed), bring the 125‑dollar certified check or money order, and drop both off at The Alice Center, attention Joann W. Once submitted, please notify us so we can update our participant list.

Employment Not Required

You do not need to be employed by Alice Hyde Medical Center to participate. Community members are welcome. If you are interested in employment after recertification, we are happy to connect.

If You Choose to Apply to Join Our Team

Those who become full‑time CNAs at The Alice Center may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to 4,000 dollars.

Starting pay ranges from $22.41 to $28.18 dollars per hour, based on experience.

Differentials for evening (+$5.50/hour) and night (+$7.00/hour) shift as well as competitively priced comprehensive benefits are also available.
