GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (Invasive) will be responsible for managing and coordinating care for patients undergoing examinations/procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. In addition, the Registered Nurse (Invasive) will develop and participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
2. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
3. ACLS required.
4. Minimum two years nursing experience required.
5. Critical care experience required. Invasive Cardiology experience will be considered first.
6. Competent in IV therapy and venipuncture.
7. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
