JOB DESCRIPTION:
The CAA administers anesthesia within their scope of practice. The scope of practice is appended to this document. The CAA provides an assessment of the patient for the attending physician's review and selection of an anesthesia care plan. The CAA possesses the personality qualities and cognitive, technical and administrative skills to effectively carry out the anesthesia care plan. The CAA maintains a commitment to excellence, caring, safety and cooperation. The CAA maintains an ongoing awareness of patient rights to privacy and fulfills the guidelines defined in the organization's confidentiality policy.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare field. CAA Master’s degree required from an accredited educational program.
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred. New graduates are welcomed.
