Maintenance Tech Senior - *Bed Technician*

Job Summary:
The Sr. Maintenance Tech provides hands-on technical oversight and offers guidance for the department in the area of their expertise. Under direction from the supervisor and team lead, this position coordinates work assignments and will perform complex tasks and submit recommendations for improvement on the day-to-day activities of the group. This position may complete corrective and preventive maintenance, inventory parts and equipment, install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and schedule third-party inspection of building systems as required, including but not limited to: vertical lifts, beds, stretchers and other patient care devices; campus-wide secure access, remote monitoring, and low-voltage data & audio-visual systems; other mechanical, electrical and site control systems required for the continuous functionality of the hospital. The Sr. Maintenance Tech will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines in addition to other duties as assigned by leadership. This position does not supervise other staff and is subject to on-call.

Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Technical training, completed apprenticeship, or technical associate degree / certificate from an accredited college or university preferred. Appropriate work experience may also be considered.
Must possess a valid Vermont driver’s license and safe driving record.

Experience:
A minimum of five years’ experience in healthcare facilities management, plus a demonstrated technical ability in a specialty field as outlined in the Job Summary.
