Environmental Services Manager

ROLE OVERVIVEW:

As the Environmental Services Manager, you will oversee the activities of the Environmental Services, Linen, Laundry, and Janitorial Departments. Your primary goal will be to ensure our facility remains sanitary, attractive, and safe. You will ensure compliance with all relevant State, Town, and Federal regulations, including OSHA, CMS Standards, and Infection Control Policies. Collaboration with other department managers, clinical staff, and support personnel is essential to this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, coordinate, and evaluate the Environmental Services, Linen, Laundry, and Janitorial Departments.

• Ensure the environment is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and safe condition.

• Comply with all regulatory requirements, including State, Town, OSHA, CMS Standards, and Infection Control Policies.

• Collaborate with department managers, clinical staff, and support personnel to achieve departmental goals.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a healthcare facility or similar setting.

• In-depth knowledge of Town, State, and Federal regulations.

• Familiarity with housekeeping equipment, supplies, and chemicals.

• Understanding of the Right-To-Know Law, Hazardous Communication Program, and SDS information.

• Expertise in floor and carpet care, as well as industrial floor care equipment.

• Knowledge of industrial washers and dryers for laundry operations.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Professional appearance and attitude.

• Strong planning skills and adaptability to change.
