Program Details

Offered in partnership with Community College of Vermont the Pre-Pathway Program (P3) offers the opportunity for employees to begin their education in healthcare through general education coursework. Classes will also provide a chance for employees to explore which specific healthcare careers may be of interest to them.

Classes will be completed in addition to an employee’s regular work commitments. Students will not be paid for class time and are expected to maintain their scheduled work hours.

Classes will be paid for in full by UVMHN – HHH through a one-time grant opportunity for participants. Funding ends June 2025.

All HHH staff are encouraged to apply. HHH Human Resources matches the grant offer to include staff who pursue their career in non-HCBS healthcare pathways.

Classes that students may partake in must be related to furthering their healthcare careers. Healthcare careers encompass a wide range of professions that offer both clinical and non-clinical services to individuals within the community. These careers also involve roles that support the processes essential for delivering these services effectively. Specific courses will be determined on a case-by-case basis with students related to both academic readiness and need as well as future goals.

Participation in P3 does not guarantee admission into future UVM Health Network Pathway programs or at any other educational institutions.
