Director Nursing SNF - Skilled Nursing Facility

GENERAL SUMMARY:The SNF Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall program operations and Residents care provided in the clinical area.  This individual demonstrates leadership and  is responsible to work collaboratively in an ever-changing environment to assure the delivery of quality Residents care.  Responsibilities include organizational planning, compliance with regulatory standards, fiscal management, setting and maintaining standards of nursing care and practice, coordinating services, and providing for the professional growth of staff.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.  2. Masters preferred.3. Current RN licensure in NYS required.4. Long Term Care certification required.5. Must demonstrate leadership and managerial abilities with good oral and written communication skills.6. Must meet requirements of pre-employment screening and physical.7. Minimum 5 years Long Term Care clinical experience and 3 years supervisory experience preferred.8. Microsoft Office, Policy Manager, Soarian, Bed Tracking, Transport Tracking, Healthstream, HRMS, Smart Square, Soft Med, Pyxis, MSDS, Medkeeper, PCM Auditor, Med Series 4, Nash, Comm Tech Messenger computer experience required.As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
