JOB DESCRIPTION:
The UVM Medical Center, Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is seeking a Vermont licensed counselor to provide direct clinical services to employees and their household family members 18+years of age. The EFAP is an internal workplace program that provides counseling services including triage, clinical assessment, short term counseling, and coordination of referrals as needed. The EFAP Counselor responds to and provides consultation for critical workplace incidents, assists in the development and implementation of DEI initiatives, as well as anti-harassment and drug free workplace standards. This position maintains contact with appropriate internal, community and national resources in the area of critical incident debriefing, mental health and substance misuse. The licensed counselor will have knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to mental health counseling and adheres to code of conduct and confidentiality in a healthcare environment. The counselor will demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
Hybrid position: must be Vermont licensed, Vermont based, able to travel to on-site locations across the State when needed.
EDUCATION:
Required Master's Degree. Vermont LICSW, LCHMC, clinical psychologist. May have dual licensure with LADC. Minimum 10 years clinical experience working in mental health, substance abuse treatment or EAP setting post master’s degree – with 5 of those 10 years working in a multi-disciplinary team setting providing mental health or EAP services to adults. CEAP licensure preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred clinical experience in treating a broad range of clients and problems common to a workplace setting. Must exhibit professionalism, clinical judgement, and commitment to client care. Knowledge of accessing community resources desired. Experience with CISD desired. Must have experience counseling in a virtual platform. Ability to work independently.
