This is a bargaining union position.
The UVM HealthNet Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary transport team, planning, providing, and evaluating direct care to patients in all states of health and wellness in the pre-hospital, intra-facility and inter-facility settings. The EMT assists with the necessary treatment and care of patients, whether ill or injured, during the transport, by ground or air ambulance, and in the pre-hospital setting or from one healthcare facility to another.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) required.
- Nationally Registered EMT, AEMT or Paramedic.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 1-year, full time relevant EMS experience with direct patient care required.
