Surgical Services Supervisor

The Surgical Services Supervisor works under the guidance of and in collaboration with the department manager. The Surgical Services Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice within the department. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the Supervisor is expected to provide clinical as well as administrative leadership for the unit. This includes creating an environment that provides patient care that is efficient, safe, and of a high quality.  The Supervisor is expected to work collaboratively with staff, physicians, and other administrative personnel.
