JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Manager/DBA is responsible for all hardware equipment, software and disposables in Renal Services. The Technical Manager/DBA plans, directs and coordinates technical staff to provide support in all areas of systems technology, which is inclusive of Information Technology and biomedical. The Technical Manager/DBA is the systems resource manager for Renal Services and the Nephrology department. The Manager contributes Technical leadership and determines appropriate resources and staffing for specific projects. This position is unique in that with the complexity of the varying systems The Technical Manager maintains responsibility for the complete CyberREN clinical management system. CyberREN is the electronic medical record for Renal Services and includes a module, CROWNWeb component that is the reporting mechanism to CMS for quality data for renal patients at FAHC. These responsibilities include, database administration, servers and operating systems oversight, maintenance of the interfaces to varying FAHC systems, terminal servers, DAX dialysis machine servers and supporting software, and programming of the Ingres relational database. The Technical Manager ensures security and protection of database assets and multiple software systems in Renal Services.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors of Science Degree (preferably in Electronic Engineering or Information Systems) and 2 years of progressive technical work in Nephrology or a related field.5 years of consecutive technical and information technology work experience required.Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated ability with relational database administration, virtualization, software support, application analysis, customer service, and the repair of sophisticated microprocessor based equipment.
