2025 NYS CNA Recertification - The Alice Center

The Alice Center, located at Alice Hyde Medical Center, is excited to announce planning in the works for a CNA Refresher Course for compassionate individuals with expired certifications.

In order to be considered for this opportunity applicants MUST have previously held a NYS Nurse Aide Certification (CNA).

Course Details:

Eligibility: Candidates must have previously held a New York State Nurse Aide Certification.

Duration: Estimating approximately (2) 8-hour sessions

Cost: No charge for the refresher course; however, candidates are responsible for a $125 payment to NYS the recertification testing fee.

Content:

• Lecture Review: Brush up on essential nursing concepts.
• Clinical Skills Refresher: Reacquaint yourself with hands-on skills.
• CPR Training: Ensure lifesaving proficiency.

Do I have to be an employee of Alice Hyde Medical Center?  The course is being offered to community members with no requirements of employment; however, if you are interested in exploring employment opportunities with us, we would love to connect!

We are hoping to have the refresher course and testing in May; in order to secure a testing date, we must have a minimum of 4 committed participants.

Benefits for Participants:

Bonus Eligibility: Candidates who apply and join The Alice Center in a part-time or full-time position are eligible for a CNA Sign-On Bonus: Up to $4,000 for successful employment, paid over one year with a 12-month commitment period.

Competitive Compensation:

Hourly Rate: Brand new Certified Nurse Aides start at $21.60 per hour.

Potential Increase: Opportunity to earn up to $27.16 per hour depending on prior CNA work experience.

Shift Differentials Available: Evening Shift (2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.): totaling an additional $5.00 per hour & Night Shift (10 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.): totaling an additional $6.25 per hour.
