JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Program Coordinator is responsible for clinical and programmatic coordination for breast cancer patients within the Cancer Center. The Clinical Program Coordinator is responsible for coordination of activities related to a specific patient population and the administration of direct patient care to this population. The Coordinator functions as a clinical leader providing and coordinating care to patients and families. Concurrent utilization and service review, consultation, patient and family education, promotion of continuity of care, preceptorship and committee work are required of this position

EDUCATION:

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter. Current internal RNs are strongly encouraged to pursue a BSN to support this initiative. AOCN a must within a year.

EXPERIENCE:

Five years of relevant oncology RN experience.
