General Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct resident care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, in accordance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and the standards set by Nursing Services and the Nursing Practice Council. The LPN plays a vital role in ensuring quality care, monitoring residents’ conditions, and assisting with medical treatments in a compassionate and effective manner.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills Required:

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members.
• Meets requirements of physical and pre-placement screening.
• As applicable, the individual will have training and competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors specific to the age of the residents for which care is being provided.
