We are seeking a dynamic and organized Program & Activities Coordinator to oversee the daily operations and therapeutic activities of our Adult Day Program. Under the guidance of the Administrator and Adult Day RN Clinical Manager, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and stimulating environment for our participants.
In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for the non-clinical aspects of our center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. You will also be a key resource for participants and their caregivers, connecting them with valuable community resources. Flexible Hours and Schedule!
- Program's hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
- Shift flexible depending upon candidate needs.
- Exact schedule will be determined with candidate and program.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Program Operations: Organize, implement, and coordinate the daily functions of the adult day program, ensuring compliance with all mandatory requirements and tailoring services to meet individual participant needs.
- Develop Engaging Activities: Design and implement therapeutic activities for both individuals and groups, fostering a vibrant and enriching environment.
- Contribute to Care Planning: Participate in assessments and the development of service plans for participants.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Diligently document all services provided.
- Support Participants & Caregivers: Assist participants and their caregivers in accessing necessary community resources.
- Ensure Quality Service Delivery: Oversee the non-clinical aspects of the site to support the provision of exceptional services to enrolled participants.
What You'll Bring:
Education & Certification:
- A Bachelor’s degree in health or social services or a related field, with at least one year of supervisory experience in a social or health service setting; OR
- Comparable technical and human service training with demonstrated competence and experience as a manager in a health or human service setting.
AND one of the following activity professional qualifications:
- Activity Consultant Certified (ACC); OR
- Activity Director Certified (ADC) by the National Certification Council of Activities Professionals (NCCAP); OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience developing and conducting activities for the population served at the center; OR
- Comparable technical and human service training with demonstrated competence and experience in developing and conducting activities for the population served at the center.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven communication, organizational, and administrative abilities.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to engaging with others.
- Solid understanding of dementia and the aging process.
- Eagerness to learn and thoroughly understand state and federal regulations governing adult day programs.
- Ability to effectively balance high-quality care with cost-effectiveness.
- Adaptability to collaborate effectively and respond productively to the evolving needs of participants.
- Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities with grace, kindness, and a curious mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant technologies.
