JOB DESCRIPTION:
The PSG Tech I position is an acquisition technologist that performs sleep studies on all age groups and appropriately scores records per AASM guidelines.
Sleep Tech Trainees may also be considered for this position.
EDUCATION:
Associate's degree, preferably in a science field and/or successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program, although a bachelor's degree is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of health care experience in a direct care position.
Education for Sleep Tech Trainee: Associates of Science degree and/or 3-5 years of directly relevant patient care experience required.
EXPERIENCE:
Applicant should be an experienced PSG technologist with excellent skills in the following: sleep study scoring, data acquisition, troubleshooting, bedside manners, mask fittings, and patient education.
