Join our Radiology Team at Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) - Ticonderoga Campus as a Clinic Clerk! We are seeking an Administrative Professional to support Radiology with receptionist, patient check in/out duties, scheduling and more. JOB DESCRIPTION:  
The Clinic Clerk at our Ticonderoga Radiology Unit:  

  • Performs clerical duties in relation to patient visits and information/ reception of Radiology.  

  • Handles incoming calls, schedules patients, may assist with burning CDs.  

  • Provides scheduled patients with prep instructions for exams.  

  • Verifies any preauthorization requirements are met prior to scheduling. 

  • Enters paper orders into our Electronic Health Record – EPIC.  

  • This administrative professional will work Monday through Friday.  

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • High school Diploma required, with emphasis on business courses preferred. 

  • Experience in a busy office setting with customer exposure. Office experience in a healthcare organization preferred. 

  • Comprehension of medical terminology. 

  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients, patients’ families, staff, physicians and management. 

  • Must possess a strong work ethic, exhibit optimism and cheerfulness and promote a team effort. 

  • Ability to work outside the normal working hours as volume demands. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in writing and verbally. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an ever-changing environment to assure delivery of quality customer service. 

  • Projects a professional image in appearance and behavior. 

  • Must be well organized, able to set priorities and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Data entry and typing experience required.

  • Computer knowledge required - Microsoft office experience (i.e. MS Word, etc.) or other work experience on computers - where candidates can demonstrate they are comfortable with computer software is required.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
