Join our dedicated pediatric primary care team, located in Burlington and Williston as an NP or PA. We are committed to providing comprehensive health care for children of all ages, working closely with our physicians to ensure every child receives the best care possible. RESPONSIBILITES

-Provide full spectrum pediatric primary care, including well child visits, preventive care, chronic health management, and acute care.

- Address clinical concerns through the in-basket system and cover “provider of the day” assigned sessions, responding to inquiries from the triage nursing team.

- Collaborate with diverse populations and utilize interpreters as necessary to ensure effective communication and care.

- Work within a team-based model of care to deliver comprehensive pediatric services.

- Participate in pediatric education at UVM Health Network by precepting learners at all levels, including medical students, nursing students, medical residents, and APP learners.

- Maintain a panel of pediatric patients, managing their general primary care needs.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

Weekend acute care expectations: One 8-hour shift per quarter at the Weekend Clinic.

EDUCATION

For NPs: Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the Vermont Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing.

For PAs: Successful completion of PA educational program at an institution accredited by ARC-PA (Accreditation and Review Commission on Education for the PA.) Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred.  Current NCCPA Board Certification required and active licensure to practice as PA by the VT Board of Medical Practice.

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience as a Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or as a Pediatric Physician Assistant is preferred.
