JOB SUMMARY:
The CNL EEG Technologist Trainee is supervised during the training period with the completion of electrodiagnostic testing to including, EEG (Electroencephalogram) and future training to EMG (Electromyography) as ordered by physicians according to established protocols and national ASET and AANEM guidelines. At approved points in their training, the technician may begin to perform the tests independently. The technician has a working knowledge of functional neuroanatomy and neurophysiology and/or EEG background and waveforms.
What is an EEG: An Electroencephalogram is a test that measures the electrical activity in the brain using small electrodes that are placed on the scalp.
Our Technologists will work among an elite team of trained professionals.
Upon completion of the Tech Trainee Program, the employee will be promoted to a Technologist I.
EDUCATION:
Associates of Science degree and/or 3-5 years of directly relevant patient care experience required.
EXPERIENCE:
Health care background preferred.
The CNL Technologist I provides technical support to the Clinical Neurophysiologist to facilitate the evaluation, treatment and management of patients receiving specialized care. These Technologist will be responsible for electrodiagnostic testing on all age groups as ordered by physicians according to established protocols and national ASET guidelines.
EDUCATION:
• Associates of Science, Bachelor of Science preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• The CNL Technologist I has successfully completed the CNL Technologist Trainee competencies.
