Medical Assistant - Occupational Health and Wellness

Hours: This is a per diem role, however we are looking to fill hours Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Medical Assistant in Occupational Health and Wellness, carries out all assignments given by MD/PA, Nurse Practitioner/Licensed Practical Nurse and delivers excellent patient care. Job duties include basic clinical tasks, working with patients and assisting the other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high-quality care. The Medical Assistant performs such duties as:

• Provide clinic Services Testing (Urine Drug Testing, Breath Alcohol, Color Vision Tests, Respirator Fit Testing, EKG, urine dip, blood pressure measurement and all daily, weekly, monthly calibration checks on equipment (as needed).
• Scheduling appointments in appropriate time slots.

All in accordance with established policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma required.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills and can handle stressful situations.

Previous healthcare experience and/or knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
